Cambridge International Scientific Inquiry Methodology

Ideas & Evidence

Children are encouraged to develop ideas or 'hypothesis' based on prelimnary evidence or facts they might have encountered. This allows to postulate theories and test out whether their theories are right and how much they are aligned with the actual theories and practices.

Plan Investigative Work

Based on the theories or ideas or hypothesis, children are guided to investigate on various parameters to test what they thought. The process is both through academic sources as well as real life investigation so that the children get a full understanding of knowledge and it's application.

Obtain & Present Evidence

Based on the investigation work, children are required to obtain and present evidence that either supports their initial ideas or theories or is in alignment with the actual theories or ideas (if different). In any case with most being points of view, the children are encouraged in the process of substantiation.

Consider Evidence & Approach

In the final analysis, the knowledge that has been theoretically imparted is well imbibed through the practical process that the children went through to substantiate learnings that they themselves postulated. This way self-learning and thereby interest in learning is generated.
